Verify Real County Supervision

Real County parole and probation are separate forms of post-release supervision. Parole follows a state prison term and is managed through the state corrections system. Probation, also called community supervision, comes from a court order and may begin without a prison term. To verify Real County post-release supervision, first identify the order or record that created it. Then contact the assigned office, since an office that is nearby may not control the case. A current status may confirm supervision, while a discharge record shows that supervision ended.

Real County Parole vs Probation

Parole and probation can both require reporting, travel approval, treatment, fees, or other terms, but they begin in different ways. The Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles decides parole and discretionary mandatory supervision. The TDCJ Parole Division then supervises a person released from state prison. Real County probation comes from the court judgment and is administered through the local community supervision system.

A person on probation may never have entered TDCJ. Someone on parole has left prison custody but has not necessarily completed the sentence. The signed judgment, TDCJ offender detail, parole certificate, or community-supervision order identifies the correct status.

Verify Real County Post-Release Supervision

Start with the custody system, not a guess about geography. TDCJ records may show a parole office and parole-review information for a state prisoner. A Real County court file can show a probation order, later modification, revocation, or discharge. The county and district clerks publish no online criminal-case portal, so the cause number and a focused request matter.

  1. Match the full name with a date of birth, TDCJ number, SID, or court cause number.
  2. Use the TDCJ offender search for a state case. Record the exact status and listed parole office.
  3. For probation, request the judgment and community-supervision orders from the Real County clerk at 830-232-5202.
  4. Call the office named in the record. Ask whether it may confirm active, discharged, transferred, or revoked status.
  5. Preserve the date of the response. A live record can change after a transfer, discharge, or new order.

Texas VINE can supply custody alerts, and TDCJ IVSS can provide eligible registrants with TDCJ status updates. Neither replaces the court order or supervision record. A missing search result is not proof that supervision ended.

Real County Supervision Office Routes

Real County does not route parole and probation to one office. TDCJ's county cross-reference assigns Real County parole matters to the Del Rio District Parole Office. The current state CSCD directory routes adult probation context through Uvalde County CSCD. Confirm the assigned officer and office before travel because a transfer or special caseload can change the point of contact.

Del Rio District Parole Office, Region IV

903 East 12th Street
Del Rio, TX 78840
830-775-4516
Fax: 830-774-0736

Uvalde County CSCD

112 East North Street
Uvalde, TX 78801
830-278-6671
Fax: 830-278-1742

The TDCJ county assignment list supports the parole route, while the state CSCD directory supports the probation route. Office location alone does not prove that a named person is supervised there.

Real County Supervision Status Changes

Conditions are the rules stated in a parole certificate or court order. They can include reporting, approved travel, treatment, testing, or limits tied to the case. The actual document controls. General descriptions cannot establish what one person must do.

A violation allegation does not by itself prove revocation. Parole revocation uses a distinct process, and probation revocation requires court action. An absconder is a person alleged to have stopped reporting or left supervision without authorization. A warrant or capias is a legal order for arrest. Confirm either through the issuing agency or court rather than inferring it from a stale status page.

Important: A parole vote, warrant entry, or VINE alert is a status clue. Obtain the matching TDCJ or court record for the legal result.

How Real County Supervision Ends

Supervision ends through a formal event, not through silence in a search. For parole or mandatory supervision, TDCJ records may show discharge or maximum expiration. For probation, the court docket and signed discharge or termination order provide the durable proof. A transfer to another office changes who supervises the case but does not end the term.

Ask for the effective date, authority, and exact status. If the public TDCJ search no longer returns a fully discharged person, TDCJ basic information accepts an inquiry with a TDCJ or SID number, or an exact date of birth. The broader release path and county records request appear on the Real County released inmates page.

Discharge does not seal or erase a conviction. Texas expunction and nondisclosure are separate court-law processes. Respect any access restriction and rely on the custodian's current response.

Which Real County Office Applies?

State parole and local probation take different regional routes. This split is especially important in Real County, where the assigned offices are outside the county. Contact the office tied to the TDCJ record or court order, not the one that seems closest. The Del Rio office handles the county assignment for parole; Uvalde County CSCD is the listed probation route.

If staff identifies another office, note the transfer date and office name. For a parole case still under board review, the BPP pre-vote status line is 844-512-0461. After a favorable vote, TDCJ Review and Release Processing is reached at 512-406-5202. A favorable vote is not proof of physical release because further review and processing can remain.

Ordinary parole review is file voting, not a public courtroom hearing with a person-by-person calendar. Three panel members vote in sequence, and two matching votes settle the result. Administrative board meetings should not be mistaken for an individual case schedule.

Real County Reentry Resources

The Uvalde County Community Rehabilitation/Correction Center is listed by TDCJ at 401 East Front Street in Uvalde, with 80 beds in the source directory. It is a regional correctional resource, not evidence that any named Real County person was placed there. Placement must come from the supervising agency or case record.

Southwest Texas College Adult Education and Literacy lists Real County among the areas it serves and describes adult education and reentry help. That program can be a voluntary support route after release. Participation is personal and must not be inferred from a supervision record.

Release from prison and placement in a residential program are different events. Verify each with its own source. The TDCJ release entry confirms the prison exit, while the parole office or program confirms the next placement.

Real County Probation Court Records

Probation is rooted in the court file. Request the signed judgment, conditions, modification orders, any motion to revoke, warrant or capias entries, and the final discharge or termination order. A clerk record may establish the legal status even when it does not give a jail's physical release time.

Real County publishes one clerk contact for county and district functions: 830-232-5202 and realcl@hctc.net. Identify the court and cause number. The public pages do not supply an online criminal-case search, and posted real-property recording fees are not a quote for criminal copies.

A motion alleging a violation is not a revocation order. Likewise, an expired reporting date is not proof of discharge. Read the docket through the most recent signed action and confirm current supervision with Uvalde County CSCD. If the person moved, another CSCD may supervise the case while the Real County judgment remains the sentence source.

Real County Parole Vote Records

Parole eligibility and release are separate. TDCJ identifies a case for review, an Institutional Parole Officer interviews the person, and a three-member panel considers the file. Two matching votes settle the result. This is not a conventional public hearing with a person-by-person calendar.

FI-1 generally means release when eligible, while FI-2 points to a future month and year. Other FI codes may require a program first. NR sets another review, SA means serve all, and DMS denies mandatory supervision. The BPP vote-options source supplies the full current definitions. A favorable vote can still be withdrawn, so it does not prove gate release.

Keep the retrieval date and exact code. After release, the TDCJ detail and assigned office confirm supervision. Before release, review status describes processing only.
